Probate Assistance

Fingertip searches: To locate valuables, jewellery, and cash in a deceased client's property. Retrieve and sort all financial and other paperwork. Deliver to you with a detailed spreadsheet. Shred any papers not required which contain personal information to prevent identity fraud.

Arrange and provide access to lock smiths to change locks on doors and windows, as required.

Vacant property insurance checks: Weekly/fortnightly, in line with the insurance companies' requirements. Comprehensive property check, inside and out, again, in line with insurers requirements, advising you of any problems which arise immediately. Arrange and oversee contractors to sort such problems. Arrange garden contractors to maintain gardens.

Arrange and provide access to Estate Agents providing valuation appraisals.

Arrange and provide access to valuers for contents valuations.

Arrange and provide access to auction houses for the collection of items going to auction.

Full property & care/nursing home clearance service. After items have been sent to auction, we recycle, rehome, or donate any items to charity. We believe in a circular economy and treat other people's possessions with respect. As little as possible goes to waste disposal. We clean and prepare the property for marketing.

Hoarders: We specialise in dealing with hoarded properties. We finely search and clear the items systemically, ensuring any money, jewellery and valuable items are located.

Registration of deaths and funeral arrangements: We are permitted to register a death if we are arranging the funeral.

Other Service

Certificate Providing: We can act as a certificate provider for Lasting Powers of Attorney. We can collect the LPA's and visit the client at their home, hospital, nursing/care home and oversee the signing of the documents or attend your office to meet with the client.

Guardianship Applications: We can assist with the serving/notification of the application and the completion of the COP 20A.

Care Visits: We visit older and vulnerable clients in nursing/care homes to provide support and company on a weekly/fornightly basis. We ensure that the clients care plan is up to date and that the resident is receiving the correct level of care. We do toiletry and clothes shopping for these clients if required and accompany them to hospital appointments. We also provide this service to vulnerable clients living independently or in sheltered accommodation.

Financial sorting and ongoing support: If you have a client who is living independently and struggling to keep their financial and other paperwork in order or have never kept their paperwork in order, we are able to sort and set up an easy to manage filing system. We often go back on a regular basis to keep the filing up to date and ensure that important insurances and bills are paid on time by assisting them to set up direct debits for ease of payment. We will ensure that all the relevant paperwork, certificates of interest, dividends etc. are sent to accountants for the completion of tax returns if required.

Relocation

If you have clients who are downsizing or moving into long term care, we provide a relocation service to older and more vulnerable adults.

We can deal with the entire move or step in to assist with parts of a move which you client requires assistance with.
